Classroom Instruments To Accompany Your DabbledooMusic Program

You can use any instruments you have already for the program and you also don't need any instruments at all. If, however, you'd like to buy some instruments to accompany the program, here is our advice:

We recommend investing in 4 different types of different sounding instruments and getting at least 1 or 2 class worth of instruments (depending on your school size) which can be shared across the school. 1 class worth we would recommend getting 32 instruments and getting 8 of each type. The class size might be smaller but having a few extra is beneficial just in case a couple of them break or are lost.

We source our instruments from either https://www.thomann.de/ie/index.html or https://www.gear4music.com/.

Here are the 4 types of instruments we use, and the links to purchasing them on Thomann:

1.) Boomwhackers https://www.thomann.de/ie/gewa_boomwhackers.htm

2.) Egg Shakers https://www.thomann.de/ie/millenium_egg_shaker.htm

3.) Triangles https://www.thomann.de/ie/thomann_wt10_junior_tria...

4.) Chime Bars https://www.thomann.de/ie/thomann_rainbow_chime_ba...

We find there's a nice mix of different sounds with none of them being too loud so as to disrupt the lesson.

Egg shaped shakers are the cheapest and so you might want to get a few extra of those. We would reckon for a pack of 32 instruments like this it should cost roughly around €130-€150.
